Moderately stimulating acidity and soft tannins. A high-end Canadian wine that has been well-received in North American wine magazines. Made from Baco Noir grapes planted in 1984, it was aged for 15 months in new American oak. It has a spicy aroma and flavor reminiscent of blackberry, mocha, and espresso. The soft tannins leave a refreshing aftertaste. Baco Noir, which is mainly grown in North America, is a hybrid grape variety with thick skin and a deep blue-black color. It was created by a French grape grower named François Bacot in the late 19th century. It is a variety that is always very popular at tasting events. Winner of the Sakura Award 2024 Gold.
