Sakura Award 2024 Winning Wine

The Sakura Awards is an international wine competition judged by Japanese women. Professional women working at the forefront, such as sommeliers, winemakers, journalists, importers, and salespeople, select delicious wines through rigorous blind testing. In the 11th Sakura Awards in 2024, many of the Canadian wines we carry won awards.

Winner of two Grand Prix Diamond Trophies

●Icewine "Riesling"　
This ice wine is made by Henry of Pelham Family Estate, a winery famous for its Riesling produced in such a wonderful terroir that it is known as the "hometown of Riesling."
It won the Platinum Award in the Ice Wine category at the 2016 Canadian Wine Awards.
It has a mineral feel, citrus nuances and a tropical fruit flavor. It is a wine characterized by its complex and pure taste and aroma.

●Icewine "Vidal"
This icewine is made by Vidal, the oldest brewery in Canada, and has a refreshing acidity and aromas and flavors of fresh tropical fruit, honey, and peach that fill your mouth.

● Dessert wine "Cabernet Select Late Harvest"
This is a Select Late Harvest wine made by Pillitteri Estate Winery, the No. 1 estate winery producing icewine. It has flavors of strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants. It is characterized by its rich sweetness and fresh acidity. Recommended for those who like red wines and sweet wines.

● Red wine "Baconoire"
Our store has the highest repeat customer rate.
This red wine is made from Baco Noir grapes, which are mainly grown in North America. It has an addictive taste with a berry-like fruity aroma and a smoky aroma. One sip and you'll want to drink again and again, making it a popular wine at tasting events.

●White wine "Riesling"
A dry wine with a good balance of fruity freshness and a slight sweetness that lingers in your mouth. It is also recommended as a sangria by adding your favorite fruits and soda.

● Sparkling wine "Riesling"
Located on the shores of Lake Ontario, Life Estate Winery produces grapes with good temperature differences between day and night. The wine has a faint floral scent along with mineral and citrus aromas. The elegant and pleasant flavors of lemon and lime give it a refreshing taste. ●Vineland "Rose Wine"
A rosé wine made from a blend of white and red grapes. With a fresh berry flavor, its mellow sweetness and appetizing acidity pair beautifully with Japanese dashi soup stock. A rosé wine with plenty of fruitiness that's perfect for a refreshing summer drink.
